At our Spring meeting the membership voted to support W.A.G.S. 4 Kids, presented by long time member Rina Dabramo. This doggone wonderful organization leverages the talents and capabilities of highly trained service dogs to meet the needs of children with various challenges and/or disabilities in Northeast Ohio. All of the service dogs are currently trained at a local correctional facility by guided inmate trainers and thereafter each placement family receives home transition training and ongoing support for a successful forever home placement. It’s a win-win! Our donation of $13,700 will be used to put at least 7 more service dogs to good work!!
Also presented at the meeting was the Kids Book Bank by co-founders Judi Kovach and Judy Payne and the Women’s Wellness Foundation by Cynthia Rios.
