At our virtual meeting we heard presentations about three great charities, the Caleb Andrew Longfield Foundation, presented by Theresa Lesh, HOLA Ohio by Danni Bennett and Gigi’s Playhouse by Missy Gibel. The voting was really very close between the three, but the majority vote went to Gigi’s Playhouse. The mission and purpose of Gigi’s Playhouse is to change the way the world views Down Syndrome, and to send a global message of acceptance that those with Down Syndrome are accepted and embraced in their families, schools and communities. Our contribution of $11,400 will help them achieve their ongoing commitment to changing lives by providing free, therapeutic, educational and career training programs for those of all ages.
