We kicked off the first meeting of 2024 with three great member presentations of local charitable organizations. Jennifer Neil presented Trials for Hope, Kassy presented the Young Filmmakers Academy and then Karen Snyder presented 2nd Act for which members voted to support this quarter. Their mission surrounds a collective of artists in recovery that uses theatre, film, and drama therapy to address the impact of substance use. Together they empower diverse and inclusive communities to promote understanding in the face of stigma. They believe in the power of story telling as a powerful tool for positive action and change in our community.
