The July 19th meeting marked our ninth meeting and the beginning of our third year of charitable giving in the Cleveland Metropolitan area. At this meeting we heard from three members who have previously had the stage in making their appeal of support for a local charity close to their heart. For those who are charter members, you may remember that Carol Dayton had been a presenter at our very first meeting. Carol had another chance last Thursday and made a winning presentation for the Golden Age Centers of Greater Cleveland. Our donation of $11,625 +matching contributions will be put to good use in helping to end hunger of our low income senior citizens by providing over 10,000 nutritious meals. This organization teams with the volunteers of the Meals on Wheels Association.
Also presented at the meeting were heart felt presentations by Amy Kellogg for the Epilepsy Foundation and Jan Thrope for Another Chance of Ohio. Please check out these wonderful charities and be sure to thank Amy and Jan for their continued efforts in presenting these needs to us.
