At our Fall meeting we learned of three charities doing awesome work here in the CLE and voted to support the Cleveland Rockin’ Wildcats presented by Julie Nader. This ice hockey team is a member of the American Special Hockey Association which is composed of children and adults ages 6-40 years old that have all ranges of developmental or physical disabilities and want to play HOCKEY! Being a member of this team provides independence, discipline, socialization, support and lots of long lasting friendships and fun! The team practices together and travels to participate in games and tournaments with other special needs teams. The Cleveland Rockin’ Wildcats is not only about hockey but more importantly about having fun, making friends and enjoying times with family. Our donation of $13,550 will help keep players on the ice!
We also learned about Community Service Alliance by member Martha Wright and Malachi Center by member Gail Steward. Please check all of these wonderful charities and thank you Gail, Martha and Julie for sharing these organizations with us!
