It feels like there’s something exciting in the air! For our Q4 2025 meeting, we had a huge number of charities submitted, several new members, and lots of women in attendance. Our total collections are on the upswing, and we are focused on growth in 2026. We can’t wait to see you at meetings next year!
At this meeting, our winning charity was The Haven Home, an organization that provides compassionate support and stable housing for pregnant women and women with children 5 and under experiencing homelessness. Through personalized enrichment services and a nurturing environment, they empower women to build resilient foundations, fostering independence to move them from poverty to prosperity. Community-based clients are eligible to receive diapers, hygiene products and other baby items as available. The group was presented by long-time member Cindy Rios.
We also heard from Blossom Hill, presented by Amy McMaken and Seeking Stillness Ministries, presented by Deb Griest. Both are great organizations, and the vote was very close.
Before the meeting, we had a happy hour was sponsored by Bella Capelli Sanctuario Salon and Spa, a female-owned Aveda Lifestyle salon and spa located at 24350 Center Ridge Rd. in Westlake. They offer services including haircutting and color, manicures and pedicures, massage and facials and more. Please check them out and tell them 100+ Women Who Care sent you!
We’re also excited to remind members of a few housekeeping items:
- We are returning to selecting our three charities during the meeting. For our upcoming meeting on January 20, 2026, you can submit your charity online in advance OR in person at the meeting. Either way, we’ll draw names that night and the winners will be notified on the spot. We’ve returned to this method with the hopes of getting more people to come and network in person and to provide an even playing field for charities of all sizes.
- We’ve updated our website to make information a bit easier to find. Check out the new “Our Impact” page to see a complete history of the groups and amounts we’ve donated since our founding 15 years ago!
