Q2 2025: True Beauty Discovery

April 22, 2025

Our spring meeting really felt like spring with all our new beginnings! We had a great turnout, including lots of charity submissions, many guests, and several new members. We’re so excited to feel the rejuvenation in the weather and in our group.

Our large group voted between three very worthwhile charities. In a very close vote, our selected charity was True Beauty Discovery, presented by Holly Fulger. True Beauty Discovery is committed to inspiring and transforming the lives of girls aged 11–19 by helping them embrace their individuality, define their strengths, redefine beauty, and unlock their full potential. They believe in championing individuality, confidence, and beauty redefined through the lens of authenticity, potential, and capability, rather than societal standards or appearances. Their programs offer mentorship and a structured path to self-discovery, rooted in their “7 Legends framework”—The Activist, The Dreamer, The Enthusiast, The Luminary, The Sleuth, The Trailblazer, and The Warrior. This framework encourages girls to uncover which Legend resonates most with them. Through interactive tools like the Legends Quiz, the Legendary Speaking Series, and the Legendary Workshop Series, participants gain deeper insights into their strengths and passions, helping them develop confidence, leadership skills, and a sense of purpose. With these tools and experiences, True Beauty Discovery strives to nurture a generation of strong, capable, and visionary young women who understand that their individuality and inner power are the true definitions of beauty and success.

We also heard from Missy Gibel, who presented Best Buddies in Ohio, which offers one-to-one friendship and leadership development programs for individuals with and without intellectual and developmental disabilities; as well as Gretchen Dupps, who presented Cleveland Angels. a group that walks alongside children, youth, and families in the foster care community by offering consistent support through intentional giving, relationship building, and mentorship.

Special thanks also goes out to Cutting Garden of Olmsted Falls, who donated the beautiful flower arrangement that was our bring-a-guest raffle prize.
