The cold January weather delayed 100+ Women Who Care but didn’t stop us! We rescheduled our Q1 meeting a week due to frigid temperatures, but we still came together to give back to a worthy cause.
In this month’s meeting, our selected charity was Aluminum Cans for Burned Children (ACBC), presented by Erin Barr. ACBC was founded by Cleveland firefighters. Through the recycling of aluminum cans, they are able to fund comprehensive fire prevention education initiatives, host camps for burn survivors, and provide invaluable support to burn survivors in their journey towards recovery. Our funds will make it possible for their camps to serve even more children, all of whom come for free and get to enjoy time in the outdoors where they feel free to be themselves.
The other amazing charities we heard about were Multiple Breed Rescue, presented by Sharon Behringer and Milestones Autism Resources, presented by Connie Boros. The votes were close, and we welcome members supporting multiple charities!
We also discussed at this meeting that attendance and giving is, unfortunately, still low post-COVID. So, please tell your network about 100+ Women Who Care, share this post on social media, and encourage others to join and spread the word. By joining as a team, you can keep your financial commitment really low but still have an opportunity to make a big impact, so 100+WWWC can work for anyone.
At our next meeting, we’re offering a raffle for those who bring a friend. Watch your inboxes for more details coming soon!
