Q1 2019: Providing Outdoor Experiences for Kids

January 2, 2019

We are off to a great start to the year with our first quarterly meeting of 2019! On Thursday three of our members presented three wonderful charities beginning with the Footpath Foundation presented by Mary Macias for which the membership also voted to support this quarter. The Footpath Foundation provides outdoor experiences for kids who live in poverty or in foster care and do not have access to the beautiful nature of Northeast Ohio. Through field trips, nature club, overnight camp and other programs, kids are provided with an opportunity to connect with nature to build their mindsets, build resiliency and escape some of their everyday stressors and hurdles. Our chapter has donated $13,125 so far in helping the Footpath Foundation achieve their mission.

We also enjoyed a presentation from Shari Caruso who presented Special Spaces and from Jena Olsen who presented the International Women’s Art & Space Museum located at Burke Lake Front Airport.  Thank you, Mary, Shari and Jena!  Everyone, please check out all the wonderful charities!
