Our first meeting of the year was very exciting! We signed up 16 new members and had at least 15-20 guests checking out how we get things done! The chosen charity was The Rainey Institute presented by Rina Dabramo with strong support from her Mom, Christine. The Rainey Institute is dedicated to positive change for Greater Cleveland’s youth and families through education and participation in the visual and performing arts. Children ages 3 and up attend Rainey after school, on Saturdays, and during the Summer to explore music, dance, drama, sewing and art. They develop their artistic abilities and their character. Rainey students learn to be leaders and positive role models. They are prepared to be “on stage” at all times, enabling them to succeed in school and in life. Our group donated $13,875 (+matching corporate contributions) to the Rainey Institute!
Other charities presented was the Lantern Center for Recovery presented by Patty Noble and Recovery Resources of Cleveland presented by Katie O’Toole Smith.
