We packed the meeting room and learned about three fabulous local charities at our first meeting of the year. The Lantern Center for Recovery, presented by Denise Novak won the majority vote, though it was close to a three way tie! The primary goal of The Lantern is to help men with addictions with their recovery and to help support them and their families. Addiction is powerful, and it is relentless, but it can be treated and The Lantern is there as a powerful resource. The Lantern’s program is designed to provide our community with these resources by offering long-term residential care at absolutely no cost to the men who ask for the help which they all deserve. The Lantern’s mission is to provide quality sober living to chemically dependent men and to educate and assist people with recovery from drug and alcohol addiction. Our chapter presented $13,700 in contributions to help the Lantern continue their great work!
Also presented at the meeting was WAGS for Kids presented by Gina Pilko and Dec My Room by Kathi Perry – thank you to Gina and Kathi – well done! Ladies, please check out these awesome charities!
