We kicked off our first meeting of 2022 with three wonderful presentations and thank our members for their efforts in introducing them to us. We learned about Chair-ity from member Barb Piccirilli, Women of Hope presented by Theresa Medsker and The Bridge Avenue School by Alane Mastandrea, for whom the members voted to support this quarter. The Bridge Avenue School (TBAS) is a small private alternative Christian based school located on the near west side of Cleveland. The school’s mission is to work with grade school children (5th – 8th) who have been struggling to succeed in a traditional style classroom. Students attending TBAS struggle in many areas, but their primary educational concern is an inability to read. Our donation of over $12,000 will go a long way with supporting the school so they can continue helping these children in our community.
