We heard three great presentations from our members at our July meeting and voted to support the West Side Catholic Center – Nurse Clinic presented by member Patty Cleary. The mission of the WSCC Nurse Clinic is to provide clients served by the WSCC with health care advocacy and education. This is done in numerous ways such as providing blood pressure and glucose screenings as well as distributing free over-the- counter medications as necessary for those in need. We understand that our donation of $13,775 may stock their medical coffers for the next three years!
We also learned about Edna House for Women from Denise Novack and The Turn by Kathy Violand. Please check all of these wonderful charities and thank you ladies for sharing these organizations with us!
