How Our Giving Circle Works

Our chapter of 100+ Women Who Care is a group of generous women who commit to giving at least $100 each quarter to a charity we select together. We've been a chapter for more than 10 years and are more than 100 women strong, but we are always looking for new members!
Our process is simple:
- We meet for one hour four times per year.
- Members drop the name of a charity they know about in our "fishbowl."
- Leadership pulls the names of three charities from the fishbowl, and the member who submitted that charity gives a short presentation about the charity and answers member questions.
- Everyone present at the meeting votes for one of the three charities presented.
- We each write a check (or donate online) to the winning charity.
Meetings
- We meet quarterly on the third Tuesday every three months (generally January, April, July and October). There are some exceptions for holidays. See our schedule for upcoming dates.
- We meet at 6:15 at The Aviator near Cleveland Hopkins Airport, who kindly donates the space.
- Each meeting lasts only one hour, though we sometimes offer networking and happy hours before and after meetings. These are totally optional!
Membership
- There is no cost or membership fees to join our chapter. We do not collect or hold any money directly. All we ask is that you complete a commitment form.
- By joining, you are committing to donating $100 per quarter for four quarters ($400 total).
- You can continue as long as you want, and you can attend meetings in person — or not. Attending meetings gives you the opportunity to submit a charity, give a presentation, and vote. And, of course, you get to network with some amazing Cleveland-area women. However, you can choose to skip a meeting and just submit your donation afterward.
- If you do not meet your commitment, you are "not in good standing." Members who are not in good standing cannot submit charities or participate in voting.
