FAQs
Some members choose to join as part of a "team," which allows you to spread out the $400 commitment among as many team members as you want. Teams must select one team leader who is responsible for submitting donations on behalf of the team and can collect the contributions from the other team members however they chose.
To join as a team, just select that option on the new member form.
Only a member in good standing can submit a charity. That member must be present in-person at the meeting to be selected. However, the member does not need to be directly affiliated or involved with the charity to present them. We often have board members and volunteers submit a charity with which they are involved, but it is not a requirement.
We do not accept solicitations from non-members or directly from charities.
Yes, of course! We welcome anyone to come and listen! Non-members are also welcome to donate to the the winning charity (or any of the charities presented). However, they cannot vote or submit a charitable organization for consideration.
If they want to join, they can complete the new member form, and their first donation – if made to the winning charity – will count as their first meeting and contribution.
